Hello and welcome to C2SUB-C.

Now, you may be wondering what this odd title stands for so I'll explain.

Conscious to Sub-Conscious = C2SUB-C

So what's it all about?

We are not ruled by the physical world or by our physical presence. We have refined our thinking through time to appreciate music, art and wonder. We have done this because we are dominated by our thoughts and emotions. Our thoughts and emotions rule our lives and control our every move. Our thoughts and emotions are controlled by our Sub-conscious mind and translated into reality by our Conscious mind. Our Conscious mind acts as a receptor and transmitter for our Sub-conscious while our Sub-conscious is our processing centre.

C2SUB-C is a site dedicated to examining the Conscious to Sub-conscious link so we can better understand how our thoughts and emotions affect our daily lives and can be controlled or understood to give us more control in our lives.

We examine the spiritual, personal and social aspects of living which affect us all and we refine the material to suit every individual.

The work displayed on this site is original. It is a mixture of learning and experience and the ethic of this site is to affect each reader in a positive way.

Mind Games

People fascinate me. Ruled by emotion and subject to the most harrowing circumstances, most of us manage to survive life. We live on a planet which has 7 billion people on it, on land that only covers about a third of this ball of rock which we are hurtling through the galaxy on. Funnily enough though, despite this many people living so close together, we find it very difficult to actually trust each other enough to really get to know one another. Most of us live in a small family group, alone or as part of a couple; very few have a large circle of friends and usually people can count the amount of real friends they on one hand.

So why do we bother? Is there any point to it all and what is in the future for us?

Well, the answer is that nobody knows. There are some very clever people throughout history who have made a stab at the answers to these questions and even now there are thousands of people, all around the world who study - or at least have an interest in - quantum physics which is the science of understanding everything that cannot be proved and making it seem realistic. The truth is that no religion has the answer and no scientific practice holds the key either because for as many answered questions they have, there are unanswered questions and unexpected events that leave mystery and woe wherever they go.

Regardless of whether we need to know the answers to these questions, we do need to get through our lives in as an enjoyable and trouble free way as possible. Not easy, is it?

The questions become:

  • Do I have the right coping mechanisms to get through life?
  • Am I following my dreams and living a fulfilling life?
  • Have I conquered my low self esteem, am I a confident person?
  • Do I live in fear of things and have I learned to give up control?
  • Will I find a meaningful relationship with the right person?
The things that matter to most of us are finding the answers to the day to day stresses that bombard us, sometimes relentlessly.

We can become depressed, angry, stressed, fearful and otherwise emotionally out of kilter with where we know we could be if our circumstances were different yet because we go to a low place mentally, we find it difficult to change our circumstances so we continue to live through our depression and stress.

There are various ways in which you can find the answers and help yourself emotionally.
  • Spiritual solace: you may follow a particular spiritual/religious practice or just have a belief in a greater power and many people use this belief to relieve their emotional pressures. If it works for you, GREAT, but for many, understanding spiritual matters is too difficult and they need something more.
  • Alternative therapies: Herbalism, Aroma therapy, Regressive Hypno-Therapy, Reiki, EFT, NLP, Chrystals, Primal Screaming. There are a lot of alternative therapies out there for anyone to try. Depending on what reading you do on them or how much you trust them will depend on how much they help you.
  • Counselling: If you want to get counselling, which I would recommend for anyone, you really want to book this privately. It may seem expensive but a visit to a counsellor once every fortnight or even just once a month can make a huge difference to you. There are different styles of counselling out there, some are specific to addictions or trauma while others are more general. Which one is for you will depend on your circumstances.
  • Self help: This is the cheap, private option. What I will say is that if you had the skills to cope by yourself you would not need to use this option so I would suggest initially going to get help from an external source while reading your first self help book or sifting through this site, then attempting the self help option once you understand how it might work better for you.
Each of us is unique. We may share common wants and needs but the way we perceive them and translate the world around us depends entirely on how our own mind has worked out what has happened to it so far. These circumstances will have been shaped by our parents and role models, archetypes, societal education and peer pressure, stress or trauma we may have lived through... and so on and so on... basically we are shaped by life into a unique thinker who sees reality in their own unique way. Therefore, what works for one person may not have any relevance to another. So shop around and find out what therapies are available to you, find out what they mean and see if any of them appeal to the way you think.
